Hello, my name is Victoria, and as cliche as it is, my favorite way to describe myself is simply as a mom. That being said, I didn’t think that I would have that title so soon.
See, I’m someone who likes to plan – and I plan meticulously. So, obviously, I had a plan for how my life was going to unfold. I was going to attend university to earn a degree in Developmental Psychology, land a job in a big city to set myself up for a successful career, and find my forever home with my fiance. It was going to be after I achieved all of these goals that we were going to start building our family.
As I’m sure you realized, I became pregnant before my plan called for. Of course we’re very happy to be starting a family, but it does come with major life adjustments. And as hard as I tried to make a new life plan, I’ve finally come to the realization that life, especially life as a parent, doesn’t follow anybody’s plan.
I no longer feel like I have my life together, and I’m not going to pretend that I do.
Parenthood is a learning process for everyone, but lucky for us, we live in a time where we can easily connect with others going through and learning from similar experiences.
And that’s what my blog is all about; my experiences and my learning process – which I hope will include some insight, or at the very least, provide some entertainment.
